Strathearn really is a great place for running. From start points in Crieff and Comrie there are
routes going up, down and along in every direction on roads, tracks and paths. There are great runs up at Loch Turret too.
The map below lets you scan the area for places that look interesting for a run. The list underneath it is just a selection of the many runs that Harriers enjoy, and of course there is almost endless scope to mix'n'match to find a run that does it for you.
- All the runs shown (except the Comrie Hills Relay legs and the Loch Earn south ridge) are circular ie starting and finishing in the same place.
- Distances and ascents are approximate and should be taken as a guide only.
- Most routes are shown from club run start points at Taylor Park and the Recreation Centre in Crieff and the Royal Hotel in Comrie. Obviously that means distances for the routes titled Crieff 10k, Knock race and Comrie Fortnight Hill Race are not strictly accurate.
- Route types are also a guide only - most routes have some mixture of terrain.
- I haven't suggested a direction in which to do each run - that's a matter of personal preference and of course it means you get two potential runs for the price of one!
- Click the Route name to see a map of the route in a new window.
- Maps are at 1:25,000 scale and in pdf format that can be printed if you find that useful.
