30 Harriers, in varying states of sobriety and even some without hangovers, and assorted dogs (I think the dogs were mostly sober) assemble at the Royal Hotel in Comrie at the ungodly hour of 9.30 on New Year's Day for the traditional run up to the Melville Monument. The weather was pretty foul, but good cheer was in abundance on the way and mud was plentiful on the way down.
In a break from tradition, there was no swimming in the Wee Cauldron on the way down - heavy rain overnight had meant that the river was quite swollen and it was decided that it wasn't safe.
Happy New Year!
