8 Harriers made it to Stirling University for the Dumyat Hill race. This is a popular race in the hill-running calendar, and doubles as the Scottish Student Sport Hill Running Championship, so the race is heaving with students. First home, as seems to be often the case with the race, was an orienteer, Hector Haines in a time of 35.14. First woman home was his wife Rachel in a time of 41.25.
First Harrier, in his first 'proper' hill race, was Wattie, in a terrific time of 40.52, 34th overall and 2nd in his age category. Sandy was next, with a very good 44.19, followed by Andy Gallagher in 46.59, Nick Gough in 48.27 and Gordon Morrison in 54.09. First female Harrier was Rhian, not far behind Gordon in 54.53, with Cathy coming in next on 57.54 and Helen B on 67.30.
Wattie, Andy and Cathy picked up good championship points to give the championship standings a bit of a shake.
