Colin Lamont put on a great effort at the Dumyat Dash on Saturday 31 October. The 5.5km Dash (not to be confused with the Dumyat Hill race held earlier in the year) climbs out of Menstrie and runs along the foot of the hill takes a very direct route up Castle Law and Dumyat for a total of 482m ascent, before a pell-mell descent down the west side of Dumyat back to Menstrie.
The race was won by Tom Owens of Shettleston Harriers in 32.07. Colin finished in 37th position (and 8th M50) in a very good time of 43.06.
Colin's wildcard and joker at this race earned him 20.38 points, to move him into 4th position in the Championship table, with a gap of 13 points to 3rd place, so there's still a chance of a top three finish with the Club 5k to come.
