Club president Gordon Morrison was flying the colours for the club at the Fruehlingslauf 10k in Werl, a small town just east of Dortmund. As Gordon reports:
"Another flat course, but thankfully a 'proper' route on quiet roads and farm tracks rather than circuits of a park. It was a beautiful spring day and a pleasure to run in warm sunshine for the first time this year! I would have loved to get under 45 mins but was still very pleased to finish in 45.09, in 16th place out of a very small field of 36 runners. My race selection strategy - enter small races with lots of prizes - was fully vindicated by my finishing as first MV60 and picking up a certificate and a bottle of wine! In my defence I will add that, once again, there were at least a few proper runners taking part too, and the winning time was 34.46."
