The Jim Dingwall Round the Houses 10k is a popular race for the fast boys and girls looking for quick times (it's never going to win prizes for 'most scenic 10k'), and so it proved for the Harriers who made the trip to Grangemouth to run round the sights and smells of the oil refinery.
The race was won by Russell White of Drumore AC in a fast time of 31.00. First Harrier was Wattie Mackay, in 35.46, in 63rd place overall, but 1st MV50 (again). Colin Lamont was next in 39.02, just 4 seconds ahead of Ben Murphy, who was running for Edinburgh University this time, but we will still speak to him. Possibly the best Harriers performance came from Andy Aitken in 41.41, taking 3 minutes off his pb. Just shows what happens when you get a race that's flat and isn't being run in a howling gale. Maddy Watson was also running for her university club, and ran well to finish in 46.12.
