Two teams of Harriers ran the Scottish National Road Relays in Livingston on Sunday April 3. These races attract some of the best runners in Scotland, who put together some disturbingly quick times.
For the men, the race comprises six legs, alternating short (about 3 miles) and long (about 6 miles), while the women's race comprises four legs, alternating short and long.
Our men's team of Ben Murphy, Phil Tipping, Phil Mestecky, Charlie Grimson, Aaron Dawson and Wattie Mackay finished in a total time of 2.50.33, in 39th position. This has to be one of the few times we've had a relay team with three runners under the ages of 25 - well done Ben, Aaron and Charlie.
The women's team of Nicola Watson, Sonja McFadden, Lauren Fairweather and Maddy Watson, finished with a total time of 2.20.57, in 22nd position.
Individual splits were:
Phil T 37.39
Phil M 20.24
