Race 4 of the club championship series was the Norman's Law hill race in Fife. This is a short sharp blast up to the top of Norman's Law and a helter-skelter descent back into Luthrie. Colin L put in a terrific performance on the back of his efforts at the Newtyle Hill race on Wednesday to finish in 22nd position, in a time of 37.56. Andy Gallagher showed his hill racing pedigree even with little training to finish in 34th position in a time of 39.18. Tony Wayte was next in, some way back in 42.17, and Mark D ran well for his 44.31. Also running, and running very well, was David Alexander, who finished in 37th position in an excellent time of 39.40. David's too young for the main club championship, but this was a very assured run. The race was won by Logan Rees, a mountain goat from Fife AC, in a time of 30.23.
Mark has run all the championship races so far, and he played his joker on this race to move to the head of the championship table. Andy Gallagher moves into second place, and Tony moves to third.
Also running on Saturday was Ian Alexander, who raced in the Emily Hill race, run just before the Norman's Law race. Ian ran well on what looked like a bit of a beast of a course to finish in 18th position, in 11.11.
