Will Manners was the sole Harriers representative at the Stuc a’Chroin 5000 race. This is a demanding hill race starting in Strathyre with 5000 feet of ascent and descent as the route climbs out of Strathyre and crosses into Glen Ample and up the south-west ridge of Stuc a’Chroin and then back again into Strathyre. Conditions on the day were challenging, with snow and sub-zero temperatures at the top of Stuc a’Chroin. The race was won by Finlay Wild (Lochaber AC) in 2:25:24. Will finished in a very good 10th position overall, and 2nd MV50, in a time of 2.44.48 - looks like the training for the Glencoe Skyline race is going well!
