Andy Aitken continued his tour of the Western Isles with his fourth half marathon of the summer on Barra. Andy finished in 1.35.15, in 25th position. In Andy's own words:
“1.35.15 today on a very challenging course with a big sting in the tail at mile 11 – like a dozen Craigards! I was just outside 7 min/mile after 10 miles and then the hill got me! Pleased with the run and what a post-race spread… smoked salmon, crab claws, lobster! Oh and I bumped into Gordon Semple, a founding member of Strathearn Harriers also doing the race.”
Next up is the Harris half on July 2. This is the final half of the Heb3 challenge, with prizes awarded for best aggregate times from the five island halfs.
