Nicola Watson and Iain Thomson were this years Harriers representatives in the Glen Ogle 33 ultra marathon. This tough race starts in Killin and grinds up to the head of Glen Ogle before swooping down the viaduct and on to Balquhidder and Strathyre before reversing direction to Mhor 84 and back up Glen Ogle to finish in Breadalbane Park in Killin.
For once, weather conditions were kind - dry, if a bit chilly. Iain completed the race in an excellent 5.22.33, with Nicola not far behind achieving a personal best time for this race of 5.23.23.
The men's race was won by Neil Renault (Edinburgh AC) in a new course record of 3.29.53, which let's face it, is a time lots of us would be happy to manage in a marathon.
The women's race was won by Nicola Adams-Hendry (Garscube Harriers) in a time of 4.19.20.
