Ben Rinnes hill race Iain Thomson joined the throngs at the Dufftown Highland Games for the Ben Rinnes hill race. This is a 22.4k out-and-back race up and down Ben Rinnes and a couple of smaller hills with 1520m of ascent. In Iain’s own words:
Ben Rinnes hill race at the Dufftown Highland Games completed today in 3:12:06. Inside my target time, 6000+ spectators, weather good if a tad windy on tops. Well organised and a great atmosphere even of you have to avoid pipe bands, dancers and assorted heavies on the finishing lap of the games field.
Iain was too modest to say he finished 3rd MV60.
The race was won by Andrew Fallas of Carnethy in 2.00.40.
