Strathearn Harriers have had a presence at the Clydestride Ultra marathon every year it has been run, either in the relay or the full 40 miles. The race runs from the centre of Glasgow alongside the River Clyde (or thereabouts) with a finish in the historic World Heritage Site at New Lanark.
This year we had one participant, Nicola Watson (surprise, surprise!), back at the race after competing in 2014. Nic was running with former Harrier Kirsty Mackay, finishing together in a time of 7.39, and it sounds like they did a great job of pulling each along through the up and downs that naturally come as part of an event like this. Credit also to Julia and Fi for supporting through the day, and to Ruth H for marshalling in her usual quiet unassuming manner.
