While half the club was heading south to Auchterarder, Mark Dillon, Wattie Mackay and I went in the opposite direction up to Pitlochry for the Live Active Highland 10k. This race used to have a reputation for being short, but this year it was a bit long. It was also quite hard. Wattie was first Harrier home in 10th position, 2nd MV50, in a time of 40.10. I was next in 47.13, and Mark just missed the 50 minute mark with a time of 50.23.
The race was won by Myles Bax of Perth Road Runners in a time of 35.55 (2.30 slower than his time at the Stirling 10k, which gives an indication of conditions and the fact it was a bit overlength) . Full results are here.
