Ben Murphy and Nic Gough continued their summer assaults on some of Scotland's long hill races at the Ochil 2000s race. This race runs from Glen Devon, over all the Ochil hills over 2000 ft, to Stirling University, covering 31km and 1200m of ascent, and features energy-sapping bog-trotting and a soul-destroying climb up Dumyat in the closing stages of the race, and a tour of Stirling University at the finish for good measure.
Ben finished in 54th position in a time of 3.51.06, with Nick 12 minutes behind in 66th position, in a time of 4.03.45.
The race was won by Andy Fallas of Carnethy in 2.53.51. Full results are on the OHR website.
