Excellent efforts at the Great Scottish Run weekend in Glasgow, with stand-out performances from Ben Murphy and Neil Scholes, pbs for Susan Alexander and Lorna McLarty, and strong runs from Jim Alexander, Beth Scholes, Janine Grant, Cat Williams and Beth Blue.

East Neuk 10k

Wattie takes 1st MV50 and Kerry takes 1st FV40 at the East Neuk 10k, and Nic, Lauren and Julia do a wee run before the cakes.

Salomon Skyline Scotland VK

Ben runs the Salomon Skyline Scotland Verical Kilometre, ascending 1027m over a 5k distance, from sea level at Kinlochleven to the finish line at the summit of Na Gruagaichean. Ben finished in a very good time of 58:51 and in 122nd= place in a high quality field of 343 runners.

Beinn Resipol hill race

Ben Murphy and Rhian Evans had a fun day out at the Beinn Resipol hill race on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. Ben finished in 31st position, in a time of 1.28.44, and Rhian was 15th woman in a time of 1.49.26.

Gateway to the Glens 10k

Lynne Aitken made the trip to Kirriemuir for the Gateway to the Glens 10k and finished in a very respectable 53.36.

Pitlochry 10k

Kerry Sweeney went up the road to Pitlochry for the annual not-quite 10k, and ran well for an excellent time of 42.48, 2nd woman and 1st FV40.

Hamilten 10k

Ben Murphy tackled the aptly named Hamilten 10k and finished in 36:25, a significant improvement on his recent time at Stirling.

Two Breweries hill race

Nick Gough continued his SHR Long Classics tour with the Two Breweries race in the Borders, from Traquair House to Broughton. This is a very runnable race over 30k distance with 1500m ascent. Nick completed the race in 4.05.07.

Loch Ness Marathon

Keira and Lauren have a blast at the Loch Ness Marathon, with Lauren setting an impressive new pb of 3.30.24, and Keira putting in a solid performance for her 5.09.31.

Loch Ness 10k

24 September 2018

Andy and Colin ran the Loch Ness 10k, with Andy breaking the 40 minute barrier for the first time and setting a new pb of 39.50, with Colin setting an age-catgeory pb of 1.02.53.
