Aberfeldy half marathon

Julia Greenlees was the sole Harriers representative at the Highland Perthshire half marathon at Aberfeldy. On a fine day for running, Julia finished in a very good time of 1.53.50 to finish as 4th FV50. A wisely played joker earned Julia good championship points to take her into 3rd place in the women's championship.

Coll half marathon and 10k

First Harrier home at the Coll half marathon was Andy Aitken in 1.32.20, with Andy Gallagher in 1.53.22, Jenni Browne in 2.14.50, and Colin Tipping celebrating his birthday with a time of 2.32.53.

Paisley 10k

Continuing his fine streak, Andrew Brown scored yet another pb, this time at the Paisley 10k, finishing in 47.33, taking another 40 seconds off his previous best.

Kirkwall half marathon

Tony scores 11th position at the Kirkwall half marathon in a time of 1.36.04.

Highland Gathering Kilt Run

Success for the Harriers at the Crieff Highland Gathering Kilt Run, with Nick Gough winning the overall race and Maddy Watson finishing 4th overall and winning the women’s race

Aberdeen 10k

Andy Scott ran the first ever Aberdeen Great Run 10k as a championship wildcard and was happy with his 47.02.

Perth 10k

Levi Sweeney had a terrific run at the Perth 10k to finish 3rd overall in a time of 36.50. On her welcome return to racing, Kerry Sweeney was 5th woman overall and 2nd FV40 in a time of 45.01. Andrew Brown followed his adventures in Saturday’s 5x5 with a fine 49.06 as a championship wildcard, and Janine Grant ran well for her 57.19.

Ochils 2000s

Iain Thomson was back for another bash at the beast that is the Ochils 2000s race, and completed the race in 5.41.19.

Rousay Lap

5x5 relay and club barbeque

Assorted Harriers gathered with an impressive array of fancy dress for the annual 5x5 relay and barbeque. As is usual, there were a few navigational mishaps, and the fancy dress is getting more elaborate by the year. Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to all who helped with the organisation. In particular, hats off to Maddy Watson for taking on the overall organisation, culminating in the barbeque at the new venue at the Golf Club.
