Andy Aitken gets his Level 2 coaching qualification

Men's captain Andy Aitken has successfully completed his Scottish Athletics Level 2 coaching qualification. Andy is our second Level 2-qualified coach, alongside Phil Mestecky, and this qualification will be of great benefit to juniors and seniors in the club.

Strathearn Trail Series Race 2

Maddy Watson starts 2018 as she finished 2017 with a fine performance at the second race in the Strathearn Trail Race series at Blue Sky Events near Methven.

Nick G leads the way on a beautiful crisp clear day on the club trail race in Comrie, with Greta taking the honours in the women's race. Neil and Beth retain their top spots in the overall championships.

7R multi-terrain half marathon

In proper Harriers style, Iain enjoys the post-race cakes after a successful run at the 7R multi-terrain half marathon, celebrating a 3rd MV60 finish and an excellent time of 1.52.17

Glen Clova half marathon

13 November 2017

Roger Clark and Anne Hartmann had their first outing in the blue and white of Strathearn Harriers at the Glen Clova half marathon, with a pair of excellent results. Roger was 5th overall and 1st MV40 in a time of 1.20.36 and Anne was 2nd woman in a time of 1.26.44, setting a new club record for the distance.

Jimmy Irvine 10k

13 November 2017

The Watson-Fairweather team was back in action in Glasgow at the Jimmy Irvine 10k in Bellahouston Park. Maddy was first Harrier home in an excellent time of 42.07, missing her previous pb by 1 second. Considering Maddy ran in the short-course cross-country on Saturday, this was a very impressive performance. Lauren was next in a time of 49.51, and Nic overcame her dodgy hip to record a time of 51.34.

Glen Ogle 33

Will leads the Harriers home at the G33 with a very fine 4.30.26, in 29th position and 1st MV50, with Julia 1st FV60 and Rob S making a fine ultra debut.
