23 January 2017Patrick and Mary O'Kane made the trip to Glagow for the annual Nigel Barge 10k, organised by Maryhill Harriers. Patrick finished 3rd M50 and 31st overall, while Mary, making a very welcome return to racing after a long lay-off, finished in 61.51.
22 January 2017Strathearn Swans (aka Sonja, Rhian, Emily, Maddy, Wendy T and Cathy improve again to finish as 6th Women's team at the Devil's Burdens, with the Strathearn Stags (Duthac, Will, Roger, Ben, Levi and Phil M) finishing in 12th position. There were fine runs from the three other Harriers teams (Stallions, Squirrels and Stoats), and a good day out was had by all, before returning to Crieff in the evening for the annual Ceilidh.
22 January 2017Lots of dancing was done and prizes and Achievement Awards were presented at the annual Ceilidh. Well done to 2016 club Champions Wattie and Wendy, and to President's Trophy winners Nicola Watson and Iain Thomson, and thanks to Shelagh for organising such a terrific bash!
15 January 2017Patrick O'Kane ran a superb race at the Scottish National Indoor 3000m Championships at the Emirates Stadium to take second place in the V55 category, in a time of 10.12.47.
15 January 2017Eight Harriers made the trip to Broxburn for the last of the East District Cross Country League races. Maddy led the women home ahead of Cathy and Kerry, with Roger and Ben leading the men home.
09 January 2017Mark, NIc and Lauren enjoy their first race outing of the year at Race 1 of the Falkland Trail Runners Trail Busters Series. Mark led the Harriers contingent, finishing in 38th position (10th MV50) in a time of 27.28. Nic was next, in a time of 29.12 (50th position overall, 1st FV45), with Lauren in 31.09 (74th).
01 January 2017Roger and Jamie Goddard raced the Callander Crags race on New Year's Eve, with Jamie completing the race in 40.45, with Roger a wee bit behind in 41.09.
12 December 2016Al and Susan kick off the Strathearn Trail Series races in Methven with lots of mud!
04 December 2016Iain T takes 1st in his age category at the East District Cross Country Championships in Aberdeen to top the men's x-country championship, while Kerry is solid at the top of the women's championship after her run.
21 November 2016Alastair Sexton made the trip south to the 2nd Glentress trail half marathon, and put in a fine effort to finish this challenging race in 2.49.04.
