Andy Gallagher takes the championship lead after a strong run at Norman's Law, with Iain T moving into 4th position. James Grant flies the flag for the Juniors with a terrific third place in the accompanying Emily Hill race.

Road to the Isles half marathon

Tony finds the Road to the Isles half marathon a bit hillier than he was expecting but enjoys the scenery and completes the race in 1.34.24, 20th overall and 4th MV50.

Tiree half marathon and 10k

Team Aitken took to the seas for a weekend on Tiree, with Andy making a return for the half marathon, finishing in a very fine 16th position in a time of 1.36.31 and Lynne taking on the 10k, finishing in 29th position, in 52.19.

Reykjavik half marathon

Ladies captain Nicola Watson took her birthday celebrations to Iceland, where she ran the Reykjavik half marathon in a time of 1.50.25.

London Marathon

Wendy sets a new London pb of 3.27.31, and Julia and Susan raise buckets of money. Julia completed the race in 4.11.47, with Susan finishing in 4.27.30.

Balmoral 15 mile trail race

Tony Wayte was the sole Harriers representative at the Balmoral 15 mile trail race, and was pleased to finish in a time of 1.51.40 in 60th position, 6th MV50.

Balfron 10k

As part of his preparation for the Stirling Marathon, Andrew Brown ran the Balfron 10k, completing his race in 53.13.

Ibiza 12k

The O'Kanes enjoy some spring sunshine at the Ibiza 12k. Patrick was first MV50 in 48.42, and Mary enjoyed her run in the Mediterranean scenery.

Round the Houses 10k

Ben and Susan pound the Grangemouth streets at the Round the Houses 10k and improve on their 2016 times in this fast flat race, packed with quality runners. Ben finished in a good 37.35, with Susan finishing in 52.40. Susan's wildcard wins her 7.19 performance points and moved her into 4th place in the women's championship.

Tay Ten road race

While eight Harriers were enjoying a 10 mile jaunt round Strathclyde Park, Jim Alexander made the slightly shorter trip to Perth for the Tay Ten road race along the River Tay. Jim completed the race in a very decent 76.31, in 70th position overall, and 12th MV50.
