Fort William marathon

Aaron Dawson ran well in the Fort William marathon, finishing in a very good time of 3.26.04, in an excellent 10th position.

In one of the most remarkable efforts from a Strathearn Harrier, Grant Carstairs completed his epic 866km trip on the GR10 route from Hendaye on the Bay of Biscay to Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Mediterranean Sea.

Brig Bash

Wattie and Maddy lead the Harriers representation at the Brig Bash, with strong runs from Charlie, Andy A, Iain, Kerry and Nic.

Crieff 10k

10 July 2016

Calum Martin wins the Crieff 10k 37.40 in less-than-perfect conditions, while Scottish Olympian Freya Ross wins the women's race in 39.44. For Strathearn Harriers, Will Manners and Sonja McFadden were first finishers.

Arran half marathon

04 July 2016

Nic, Julia, Lauren and Colin took a day-trip to Arran for the Arran half marathon. Nic put in a cracking performance with a very good 1.41.58, 6th in her age category, followed by Julia Greenlees in 1.52.45, 2nd in her age category for the second year running, with Lauren Fairweather finishing close to the 2 hour mark in 2.01.21, and Colin Tipping in 2.18.23, 11th in his age category.

Harris half marathon

Andy Aitken completed his tour of the Western Isles with the Harris half marathon, finishing a tough race in a in a very good 1.35.07, in 19th position. Andy picked up a coveted Heb3 Challenge t-shirt for his efforts in completing the Hebrides half marathons series organised by Stornoway Running Club.

Milnathort Dash

15 Harriers raced the Milnathort Dash, with Wattie and Wendy taking club honours with 2nd places in their age categories and good championship points.

Barra half marathon

Andy Aitken continued his tour of the Western Isles with his fourth half marathon of the summer on Barra. Andy finished in 1.35.15, in 25th position.

Mhor Run half marathon

27 June 2016

At the new Run Mhor half marathon, Sonja McFadden was first Harrier home, finishing in 27th position overall, 5th woman and 3rd in her age category, with a time of 1.57.49. Next in was Matt McLay, in 1.59.24, in 33rd position, with Julie MacDonald finishing in 2.30.08.
