07 June 2015Blustery conditions made for a tough day racing, but we still managed a new women's record, set by Fiona Ramsay in 3.05.59. The men's race was won by David Gow in 2.53.18. Paul Taylor and Cathy Tilbrook were first Harriers and first local runners.
01 June 2015A good turnout at the Strathallan 5 saw Wattie increase his lead at the top of the men's championship and Lauren close the gap on Cathy at the head of the women's championship. We also saw welcome returns after injury for Gary Brock and Nicola Watson.
22 May 2015A good turnout saw 13 Harriers make the short hop through to Perth for the popular Kinnoull Hill race. We had success in both races Emily 2nd in the women's race and Wattie 1st M50 in the men's race.
17 May 2015Congratulations to Sandy Storey for his win at the Cape Wrath Marathon on May 17. In difficult windy conditions, Sandy's time of 3.14.16 was an exceptional performance and gave him a gap of 3 minutes over the second placed runner.
07 May 2015Wattie was first Harrier in the Dumyat Hill race, with Sandy and Andy Gallagher taking the next two Harriers places. For the women, Rhian led the way taking a break from wedding planning, and Cathy and Helen ran well for their times. Wattie moves to the top of the men's championship, while Cathy moves into second in the women's championship.
27 April 2015Harriers ladies had a great day out at the 2015 Highland Fling - six starters and six finishers! Ruth H completed the event in a club record time of 11 hours 27 minutes 43 seconds. Ruth Clark was less than 4 minutes behind to finish in 11.31.12, with the two Ruths coming in 5th and 6th in their age category. Wendy and Kirsty finished together in 12.57.15, with Julia and Susan beating their target time to finish in 14.24.08.
27 April 2015Strathearn Harriers had two successful runners at the London Marathon on April 26. Roger Goddard smashed the club marathon record with a terrific time of 2.46.36, and Roger now has the best half marathon and two of the best marathon times for the club. Andy Scott had a very successful run, beating his previous marathon best with a time of 3.47.28, and in doing so has raised a fantastic £2000 for PTSD Resolution.
12 April 2015Three Harriers made the trip to Grangemouth for Scotland's flattest 10k road race. Wattie was 3rd MV50 in 35.53, Sandy was next in 39.38, and Tony struggled in in 41.09.
