National Road Relays

04 April 2016

Two Harriers teams competed at the National Road Relays in Livingston. The men's team completed the six legs of their race in a total time of 2.50.33, in 39th position, and the women's team finished the four legs of their race with a total time of 2.20.57, in 22nd position.

The Ruths run Paris!

Ruth Clark and Ruth Howie joined a bunch of like-minded Wee County chums to run the Paris Marathon on Sunday April 3. Unfortunately injury and heat got in the way of personal best times, but a good time seemed to had by all. Ruth and Ruth ran together to finish in 4.53.11.

Gartmorn 6 trail race

Wattie and Wendy lead the way at Gartmorn with impressive performances, and the Juniors have a good day out to win their Creme Eggs!

Inverness half marathon

13 March 2016

A trio of Harriers made the trip North to take on the Inverness half marathon. Andy Aitken was first Harrier home and finished in 1:39:46. Colin Tipping and Fiona Lyle ran together, and despite Fiona battling leg pains for the last five miles put in a very fine effort to finish in 2:16:51.

Colin Lamont at the Ben Gullipen hill race

Colin Lamont ran the Ben Gullipen hill race in the Trossachs and finished in 16th position overall and 1st Supervet, in a fine time of 59.47 for the hilly out-and-back 8.3 mile course. The race was won by Andy Fallas in 49.58.

Phil T at the Wrexham Marathon

As part of his preparation for the Highland Fling, Phil T has run the Wrexham Marathon in 3.44.09, finishing 58th overall and 3rd MV50.

New Club 10k record!

Roger Goddard breaks the club 10k record at the Cambuslang 'Down by the River' 10k with a superb 35.19. Roger now holds the club record times for the 10k, half marathon and marathon.

Club cross-country championship

Cathy and Phil M take the inaugural Harriers cross-country championships, with Emily and Maddy tied in 2nd place in the women's championship, and Roger and Wattie in 2nd and 3rd places in the men's championship.
