Wattie won a nice inscribed whisky glass as his 1st MV50 trophy at the Brig Bash, and Maddy continued her excellent summer with a very good 34.24.

Arran half marathon

Fittingly (?), as the wife of an award-winning cheesemaker, Nic wins cheese as 2nd FV50 at the Arran half, and Richard puts in a very good effort after a long lay-off for his 1.38.43, and Maddy scores a new distance pb of 1.44.37.

Milnathort Dash

Top race action at the Milnathort Dash, with Maddy finishing 3rd woman, and Vets prizes for Wattie and Gordon.

Lairig Ghru race

Doug, Ruth C, Dawn and Julia have a tough day out on the Lairig Ghru. Doug completed the race in a very creditable 4.42.03. Ruth had an excellent race finishing in 5.20.28. Dawn and Julia were delayed by an injury to Julia when she slipped on the boulder field at the Pools of Dee, and completed the race in 6.20.28.

Black Rock 5

Nicola and Lauren went to Kinghorn for a splash in the sea at the Black Rock 5, finishing in a time of 38.52, in 558th and 559th positions.

Glasgow Men's 10k

In a fit of enthusiasm for racing, Andrew Brown followed up his CAAC 5-miler with the Glasgow Men's 10k, recording a pb time of 50.59.

Skye half marathon

Colin takes a trip north for the Skye half marathon, completing in 2.28.31.

Strathearn Marathon

The 2017 Strathearn Marathon was won by Rich Myers in 2.50.48. The women's race was won (again) by Fiona Ramsey of Cani-fit in 3.12.55. For the Harriers, Ben was 4th in an agonising 3.01.17 (1st local male), Iain was 1st MV60 in 3.43.28, Sonja was 1st local woman in 4.05.29, and Lauren wasn't far behind in 4.16.20.

CAAC 5 mile road race

Andrew Brown runs the CAAC 5 in Edinburgh in a fine time of 40.18.

Milngavie trail race

Nick has a successful trip to Milngavie, finishing 7th in the 8.5 mile trail race round Mugdock Park and on the opening stretch of the West Highland Way.
