08 July 2018Watties takes 6th place overall and 1st MV50 for the 4th year running, and everyone enjoys the fine post-race spread laid on by Perth Road Runners.
01 July 2018Ben takes 5th place at Milnathort, and Maddy takes an excellent 3rd place in the women's race, whiel Wattie wins the MV50 category again.
01 July 2018More island hoping with Andy Aitken, Doug Flint and Cathy Tilbrook, racing in the Barra Half Marathon, in what looked like glorious sunny conditions. Andy was first Harrier home, in 24th position overall in a time of 1.39.39. Doug was next in 1.45.38, 6th MV50, and Cathy was 3rd FV50 in a time of 1.56.04, and the three of them were 4th team home, which sounds like an excellent day out.
18 June 2018Nick Gough and Tony Wayte ran the Seven Hills of Edinburgh race on Sunday. Nick ran very well to finish in 27th position in a time of 1.58.37. Tony took a rather more leisurely approach to the event, and finished in 2.20.37.
18 June 2018Andrew Brown ran the Glasgow Men’s 10k, following a nice flat route from the Riverside Museum to the finish in George Square. Andrew just missed his 45 minute target to finish in 45.19.
18 June 2018Beth Scoles ran the second part of the Run Mhor trilogy at Mhor 84, in what must have been difficult weather conditions. Beth finished in 2.03.14.
11 June 2018Roger Clark, Anne Hartmann and Tony Wayte headed west again, this time for the Skye half marathon. Conditions on the day were warm, to say the least, but that didn’t seem to impair Roger and Anne. Roger was 5th overall, 1st MV40, in an excellent time of 1.20.05. Anne was 16th overall, 2nd woman, just 30 second behind 1st place, to finish in another superb time of 1.28.02. Tony struggled over the second half of the race to finish in 1.34.23.
11 June 2018Irene Smith and Becky Hughes ran the Errol 10k together to finish in a time of 1.10.44.
10 June 2018The 2018 Strathearn Marathon was won by 2013 winner and course record holder Roger van Gompel of Dundee Hawkhill Harriers in a time of 2.52.12. The women’s race was won by Jillian Gordon of Kinross Road Runners in a time of 3.18.30. First Harrier was Daryl van Blerk in 18th position, in a time of 3.18.48, and first female Harriers was Lauren Fairweather, 5th woman with an excellent 3.36.54.
