Start and finish at Cultybraggan

  • Plenty of on-site parking - please follow signs and marshals. A plan showing parking is available here.
  • Changing facilities and toilets will be available at Cultybraggan for all runners.
  • Chip timing will be used for the race, provided by pbTiming
  • Food and refreshments will be available for all runners after the race.
  • First aid cover will be provided by medically trained volunteers including the Comrie First Response team.
  • Post-race massage will be available on-site after the race from qualified remedial and sports therapists.

The route follows predominantly undulating B roads on the south side of Strathearn. Roads will not be closed, and runners are asked to be aware of traffic. The course will be well marshalled and well signposted.

Any runners who have to abandon the race must make their presence known to their nearest marshal, who will arrange any medical help and transport back to the finish.

Entrants should be able to complete a 'flat' marathon in under 5 hours. For a range of practical reasons, the race is organised and resourced to take place within a six hour time frame. That means that after six hours the event is officially closed and any runners still on the course cannot rely on the continuing availability of race officials, marshals, water stations or finishing line facilities. Transport back to the finish will be provided.

There will be seven water points at approximately 3, 7.5, 10.5, 14, 18.5, 21.5 and 24 miles. See the route map for the locations of the water stations.

Individual marathon finishers will all receive a medal and a goody bag including a technical t-shirt. We will do our best to provide your preferred size of t-shirt but cannot guarantee this.

Thanks go also to Crieff Hydro Hotel and The Famous Grouse Experience for their support. The race is also supported by Graham and Finlayson of Crieff. Water at the water stations and at the finish is provided by Highland Spring.
