On the day
Registration opens at 7.30am at Cultybraggan Camp, Comrie
Race start time: 9.00am
Start and finish at Cultybraggan
  • Plenty of on-site parking.
  • Changing facilities and toilets will be available at Cultybraggan for all runners.
  • Food and refreshments will be available for all runners after the race.
  • First aid cover will be provided by medically trained volunteers including the Comrie First Response team.
  • Post-race massage will be available on-site. As an addition to your normal warm-down and stretching, this helps recovery from the stresses of the marathon by improving the circulation, flushing metabolic waste and lactic acid from the muscles, returning balance, mobility, length to the muscles and providing overall physical and mental relaxation. A good post-race massage can reduce the length of recovery and minimise the effect of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). Cost £10 for 20 mins or £5 for 10 mins.
The route follows predominantly undulating B roads on the south side of Strathearn. Roads will not be closed, and runners are asked to be aware of traffic. The course will be well marshalled and well signposted.

This is a more challenging route than many others, and entrants should be able to complete a 'flat' marathon in under 5 hours. A cut-off will be applied, and any runner who does not get to the water station at the 18.5 mile point within 4 hours 45 minutes will be required to withdraw from the race. Transport back to the finish willl be arranged for any runners who do have to withdraw.

Any runners who have to abandon the race must make their presence known to their nearest marshal, who will arrange any medical help and transport back to the finish.

There will be six water points at approximately 3, 7.5, 10.5, 14, 18.5 and 22.5 miles. See the route map for the locations of the water stations.

Finishers will all receive a goody bag. Thanks to Run 4 It, Crieff Hydro Leisure and The Fruit Shop, Comrie for their contributions to the goody bags.
Finishers will also have the opportunity to download a personalised photo certificate from the race photographers FM Photography.
