Lindsays National Short Course Cross Country Championships

The national short course XC championships run over a 4 km course was also the second counter in the club cross country championships. Many thanks to Monica Thomson for the following race report: Race Report Lanark XC short course (4km). Fast, flat, not too muddy and we even saw intermittent blue skies!
For the Senior men, Harris Pagett was first Harrier home in a speedy time of 12.09, in 35th position, with Mike Thomson finishing in 16.56, in 329th position. There were 412 finishers.
For the Senior women's V40 team, Monica Thomson finished in 18.31, with Jenny Dallas close on her heels in 18.36, and Gill Dowse in 19.15. There were 282 finishers.
The men's race was won by Finlay Ross-Davie of Garscube Harriers in 11.33, and the women's race was won by Morag Millar of Central AC in 13.20.
