National Cross Country Relays
Race Date: 25 October 2025
Thanks to Graeme Warren for the following report: Three senior teams took to the grass in sunny but breezy Cumbernauld for the National XC Relays - a 4km grassy and undulating course. Following on from our two Junior teams, our Female team of Mags Gough, Gill Dowse and Jenny Dallas finished 12th in the Master Women category in 1:02:15. A certain Megan Keith anchored the Senior Women’s team to the win and rounded off her day with getting the chance to have her photo taken with Jenny.
The Senior Men’s team (which included a couple of V40 runners) of Daniel Harrison, Thomas Silkstone, Ross McNaughton and Chris McLeod finished 79th of 120 in 1:08:15, with the V40 Men’s team of Jim Reid, Dave Dowse, Nick Gough and Graeme Warren finishing 11th of 29 in 1:02:25.
Gala Harriers won the Masters Women's race in 47.30. For the men, the Senior race was won by Central AC in 47.20, and the MV40 race was won by Corsorphne AAC in 54.07.
