Strathearn Harriers - New Year's Day Run 2014

Killin 10k

Race Date: 22 August 2025

Another in the popular Tay Fitness series, the Killin 10k has grown over the years and this year hosted nearly 750 runners. In addition to the 10k, a 5k race has been added to the event, making this a fine opportunity for runners of all calibres. The ninth race in our club championship saw 19 Harriers take on this undulating route.

First Harrier home was Calum McBean, proving he's as capable on the road as he is on the hills, in a time of 39.26. Next in was Ben West in 43.37, with Doug Lawson next in 45.51. First woman home was Monica Thomson in 48.15, followed by Fiona Paterson in 48.53 and Ali Cunningham in 49.29.

This from Monica Thomson: 19 of us out from the club today, with perfect drizzly conditions. Slightly hilly road run and 1000 runners overall at the event.

No Fingal Shield team prize unfortunately but category prizes for: Calum McBean and Ben West (2nd and 3rd jnr), 2nd FV60 for Ali Cunningham and 2nd MV70 for Dave T.
