OMM LIte

Jonathan Marks took on the OMM Lite over the weekend, part of the 2025 Lake District Running Festival. Based around Grasmere, the OMM Lite is a points race, with runners competing to accumulate points by finding as many of 30 checkpoints as possible over two days.
From Jonathan: A tough weekend running at the OMM Lite. I was taking part in the long score course with 7 hours on Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday to collect as may points at possible by visiting various check points. Conditions throughout the weekend were pretty wet and windy but unlike the full OMM you could get a hot shower on the Saturday night. After 7 hours on Saturday I was sitting in first with 770 points and I managed to build on this lead to keep 1st place with 1430 points. A really friendly family event with lots taking place throughout the weekend and camping on site.
