Strathearn Harriers - New Year's Day Run 2014

Tilli 10

Race Date: 28 December 2025

The Tilli 10 is a flat and, if you start near the front of the field with the fast boys and girls, fast 10k, starting and finishing at the Devonvale Hall in Tillicoultry. Run along the old railway line, it gets quite crowded, especially on the outward half making overtaking difficult. At the pointy end, it has been a very competitive race, with fast times from the likes of Commonwealth Games medallist Robbie Simpson and regular Scottish cross-country champion Jamie Crowe.

This year three Harriers shook off their post-Christmas calorie blowout. This report from Drew Brown: Three Harriers completed the popular out and back Tilly 10k race this morning. Mild conditions on a fast course was very welcome and the slightly downhill return 5k kept us all keen.

Jamie Crowe from Central won in 28:47 and a new course record. First woman was Amy Frankland of Lasswade in 34:25.
This was my fastest 10k for 5 years and marks an injury free year and over 700k run. Hope to enter a few more races in 2026.
Drew carefully managed to avoid giving the names and times of the three Harriers, who were:
Nicola Watson 48.45; 431st overall, 7th in her age category
Anna Hammond 50.08; 470th overall, 16th in her age category
Drew Brown 50.57; 497th overall, 38th in his age category.
There were 691 finishers, and as an indication of the quality, the first 75 finishers were all under 35 minutes.
