The Forfar multi-terrain half marathon is a challenging, usually wet, often very wet and sometimes frozen, jaunt around fields and tracks around Forfar. It's slightly less than a half marathon distance, but what it lacks in distance, it makes up for in 'interesting' features.
Thanks to Nicola Watson for this report: There were three of us who completed the Forfar Multi Terrain, almost, Half Marathon (12.75 miles - we were told it wasn’t exactly a half). There is one word for it, mud. Oh, and water. Definitely multi terrain, farm tracks, trails, pavement, road, swimming (only joking, just!). It was a tough route/race but absolutely brilliant. Great marshals and loads of lovely supporters out on the course. Nicola then Jos Goodfellow followed by Anne McGlashan. I would definitely recommend this race if trail running is your thing. Devilla will be a breeze after this.
