Many thanks to Nicola Watson for the following race report: Only the brave and the bold were out today. Mike and I traveled up to Dunkeld for the Deuchary Canter. They had decided this morning due to high winds to shorten the route (which was the right decision) but we ended up running in glorious sunshine, everyone was overdressed. It was the same route but we turned before the hill and did the return leg which made for a great run. Mike Thomson was 1.08.42 and I was 1.26.52 1st FV50 (I was the only one). It was a fab day to be out there competing & the usual great prizes & catering from Adrian.
The race was won by Finn Lydon of Carnethy in 51.17, and the women's race was won by Holl Gordon of Ambleside AC in 1.09.15. Disappointingly, although perhaps not surprisingly given the weather, there were only 28 finishers
