Ben Sheann

The Ben Sheann hill race is a demanding race covering around 4K with more than 400 metres of climbing on a steep up and down route to the summit of Ben Sheann. Known as the “Mountain of the Fairies”, Ben Sheann offers a fast and demanding hill running experience on rough trails, open hillside and technical descents above Strathyre.
Two of our mountain goats, albeit at different ends of the age spectrum, took on the challenge, with Calum finishing in an oustanding 4th position in a time of 32.51, with Andy Gallagher finishing in 31st position in a time of 45.44. The race was won by James Espie of Deeside Runners in 28.23.
