The Chariots of Fire Beach Race is an annual 5km out-and-back beach run on West Sands in St Andrews, Scotland, inspired by the iconic opening scene of the 1982 Oscar-winning film and featuring the option to run barefoot through the waves.
John Myles finished in an impressive on-sand 24:55 for 104th by chip time (out of 708 finishers).
