Thornhill 10k

Another Tay Fitness event, the Thornhill 10k is becoming established a good race for fast times. Thanks to Colin Carnson for the following race report: Four Harriers ventured onto the roads from Thornhill for the third of this season's ‘Run Like L’ series at the Thornhill 10k. On a glorious day in a sold-out event over 700 runners started. Issac, one of our juniors, was first home in 27th, with a fantastic time of 41:30. His father, Paul Bryson was 182nd in 50:02 - so close to beating the 50-minute mark. Colin Carnson finished in 420th place, in 59:40, and finally beating the hour mark after some illness. Jason Miles-Campbell crossed the line in 702nd place, in 1:22:27.
In addition, club newcomers Jim and Lorraine Nicol finished in 580th and 581st positions. The father and daughter team ran together to give Lorraine a new PB of 1.06.49.
The race was won by Jordan Stewart in 35.23, and the women's race was won by Katie Phillips in 37.59. There were 718 finishers.
